Once in a Lifetime by Shinhwa

i would like to share this great song
the melody itself is very nice,
i was introduced to this song around 4 or 5 years ago, if not mistaken...
it's a korean song sing by 6 handsome talented man...

having all the problems bundled up in my mind,
tried to release some of the tensions by
flipping back n forth file & folders on my pc,
and i find this old song...(not too old though)
i used to listen to shinhwa every now & then...

if we pay attention to the mv,
somebody who made this video available
is very nice to put the complete package ...
we can sing along becoz
the romanization of the hangeul (korean words) is written down,
for korean the hangeul itself is also written down,
plus the english translation...

the meaning of this song is the one that makes this song really great...

suara hati

Lately, what had happened with us,
i just let things go, flowing by itself  , ,,,
i just keep tuning in and moving into (hopefully) toward better direction...

but... this time, i love my place soo much,
things have already got too much over the border,
i definitely would not let this person ruining
or even worse push us into a clift,,,
go ahead, if you want to jump,
but don't take others with u...

di bawah tenda parasol  itu,
diantara banyak kata yg kita ucapkan...
suddenly it's dawn on me the word "teraniaya"
something like "being the victim"

this word keeps pop into my head..
i think about it for quite sometimes that nite ...

bener juga apa yang temenku ini omong,
jangan sampai dia bilang ke orang2 bahwa dia adalah korban
ato dia adalah pihak yg teraniaya...

we know state of the fact that
people, especially for most Indonesian,
we tend to symphatize more to a person whom we think
is a victim of something or someone...

on the contrary, infact me and my partner are the ones who get unfair treatment...

we put much more hours,
much more thought,
much more heart and  mind,
and so on.... .................   to this place,,,

yet this person just come and go,
one day is there,
one day is there but not seen (hohoho, sounds like a ghost),
few days are not there..
and nobody care ...

hhmm.... so we see who are the victim now...

i have to make some strategy to beat this person up

(obviously, not in literally meaning, bcoz this person is  stronger n bigger)

actually one of the hurdle is  the fact that
we know who still hold this person and not letting this  person go ...

but I do believe one of this day,
the day will come............
so that the others may have better days,
days with all of us hand in hand,
days when all we think is doing our best,
moving forward in full speed,
to make our place get D Most Optimum Harvests possible....

Indonesia, where is it?

just now, watching "Exclusive Interview with Obama" by Putra Nababan @ RCTI..
the interview runs very well, relaxed mode ...

It was quite amusing & touching  to watch how  mr. Obama still remember the Indonesian language, even stated that he wanted his family to know more of how beautiful & diverse indonesia is ... the interview itself gives me the impression that he loves indonesia...

Before entering the White House (too bad, long time ago when i was in Washington DC, the White House was not opened for tourist due to the some renovation) for the Big Interview, Mr. Putra Nababan (let's just say  PN) interviewed several people who pass around in front of the White House ...

This section was put as the introduction  ....
He asked people in random, in various ethnics, various profession, some men some women...
Some of the questions to those people are something like this:
1.  how do you see the work of president obama for his first year?
2.  do you know where indonesia is?
3.  do you know that president obama spent his 4 years of childhood in indonesia?

answering the 2nd questions, most answered in a very confuse mode on...
" indonesia ,,hhhmmmm,, in middle-east???"
" in far-east"
" i honestly don't know where it is"

answering the 3rd questions also the same with some unbelieved or somehow shock mode on...

I did think that with the mr. Obama being a President, maybe the name of Indonesia as a country would be more introduced and known to more Americans, but i guess after all these years, the knowledge of Indonesian country is still not quite widely spread... and really  that's too bad ....

Well, well, well, it surely makes me sad ...
vividly remembered my university time, where only very little people know where indonesia is, yet more americans are familiar to bali ........

Let's put this reality condition as a part of our homework (government or personal) on how to make Indonesia more well-known in the eyes of the world ...Rather than busy organizing demo here n there, might as well, put our time in better use   ....
