Taste of Korea 2010

like last year, i did have intention to at least go to one of the Korean event series,
so i spare some time to see the Taste of Korea 2010
if last year had been held in Grand Indonesia ..
this year it was held at new mall at Gandaria City Mal
it is very suitable since in that mal there is brand new LotteMart (Korean Hypermart)


like always,
i went there with both my kids and my mom,
hhmmm.....  
it's not me if i don't get lost first ...
after turning back and forth at the same street somewhere at Pondok Indah area
then
voila there you go, Gandaria City Mal
was very relieved when we finally found it ..hehehe,,,
i almost turn to other destination if in one more turn i still could't find this Mal ...

We got there quite in time,
i forgot was it 12.30 ??
show hasn't began yet ...
just saw some Korean teenagers from taekwondo got there,
they were preparing themselves ...

the booth participants of Taste of Korea 2010 not very much different than last time

insam booth (ginseng booth),  the Korean grape booth, candy booth also selling yummy Tteokbokki,

tteokbokki (tteopoki) is one of Korean snack, from rice cakes cooked with spicy but some sweet taste...

(they sell one small portion for 25rb, quite expensive, while usually i ordered tteokpokki at Dae Jang Gum, Sogo Food Hall only around 35rb but very big portion)

this time the food demo was how to make good Kimchi ..

(kinda Korean pickles which taste spicy, sour, and good)

we did bring home one bag of kimchi ..

quite interesting the way people make Kimchi,

it's not as simple as it looks like,

and it does take long time to make that Cabbage fermented in the kimchi spice ..

well, it's complicated to make ...

as Guest Star  there was William Wongso, 

my culinary idol

who made comment bout Korean food in general

i did have a chance to take picture together ...

for the cultural show performance,

there was the traditional dance and music like last year,

and this year is more interesting because they also have the Taekwondo show
by the Korean teenagers from Kyungmin Taekwondo ...

We really enjoy this performance 

after the taekwondo performance,

there was also the modern dance by the 5 boys ...

their performance for me was not really good, but it seems that the audience quite enjoy it too ...

well, that's about the Taste of Korea this year ...

After watching the whole show, we went back and forth to LotteMart ,

scrumptious... hungry eyes looking at some of the korean foods sold in LotteMart ...

there sell teokbokki in some flavour (i never know that there are different kinds of teobokki) -- was very interesting, my mom and i ordered some different flavors and tried it, almost all flavors are good, but my tongue still used to the regular red sweet spicy ones...

not too mention i bought some of Korean canned drinks and the regular ramion (instant noodle)

it is quite a heavenly place to shop many korean foods or drinks over there,

and actually some of the regular foods and stuffs are also much cheaper there in LotteMart....

for sure i will be back there to LotteMart ...
